The North Stars crushed the WarHawks 7-3

The Breezy Point North Stars' offense had a big night, peppering the Willmar WarHawks with 45 shots throughout the game. The Breezy Point North Stars took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Braeden Zaste.

Braeden Zaste did his part, adding 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Carson Simon contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Brandon Holt chipped in with 2 assists.

During the first, Westlund opened the scoring for the North Stars with a goal at 7:00 with a helper from Tubbs. Swope quickly followed with a goal at 7:39 with helpers from Vandevere and Voss. Eddens answered for Breezy Point with a goal at 11:52 with assists from teammates Hormann and Kitchen. Berkowitz quickly followed with a goal at 12:39 with a helper from Holt. Zaste answered for the North Stars with a goal at 14:53.

During the second period, Zaste netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 9:56 with assists from his linemates, Simon and Borseth. Simon scored a goal at 13:42 with helpers from Hormann and Zaste. O’connor put in a goal at 17:30 with an assist from defenseman Bourassa. Slagter quickly followed with a goal at 19:11 with helpers from Holt and Ackerman.

During the third, Sadler answered for the North Stars with a goal at 15:09 with assists from Weiber and Bourassa.

Breezy Point’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Fielding as he stopped 14 of the 17 shots he faced. Fielding’s counterpart, Ertl, also had a big night, managing to stop 38 of 45, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Breezy Point North Stars’ record to (1-3-0-0).
