The North Stars struggled against the Steel 5-2 in home game

Max Eilefson came up big, stopping 43 of 48 shots throughout the game. The New Ulm Steel took the lead early in the third on a goal from Hunter Johnson.

Josh Maucieri had a busy night with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Jack Parks chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Jarrett Cammarata did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first, Borseth opened the scoring for the North Stars with a goal at 7:39 with helpers from Morin and Maucieri. Hudson answered for the Steel with a goal at 19:53 with helpers from his teammates Spaargaren and Halvorson.

In the second period, Halvorson deposited a goal at 4:44 with assists from Bauman and Midegs. Maucieri answered for Breezy Point with a goal at 13:46 with assists from O’connor and Weiber.

During the third, Johnson answered for New Ulm with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 1:51 with helpers from Ayd and Spaargaren. Cammarata scored a goal at 12:55 with helpers from Parks and Ayd. Parks deposited a goal at 17:42 with assists from his linemates, Cammarata and Cooper.

This loss brings the Breezy Point North Stars’ record to (0-2-0-0).
