The North Stars struggled against the Freeze 7-1 in home game

The Breezy Point North Stars struggled against the La Crosse Freeze allowing Brandon Ratzloff to score a hat trick as Breezy Point crushed La Crosse 7-1 in a home game at Green Island Ice Arena in Breezy Point. What's more, Lucas Ehrlich came up big, stopping 31 of 38 shots throughout the game. The La Crosse Freeze took the lead late in the first on a goal from Matthew Francois and never looked back.

Matthew Francois delivered for his team with 2 goals and Brady Lindauer had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 assists.

During the first period, Ratzloff opened the scoring for the Freeze with a goal at 8:58 with helpers from his linemates, Lackey and Lindauer. Francois deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 18:22 with assists from Ratzloff and De Schepper.
