The North Stars struggled against the Steel 6-1 in home game

Lucas Ehrlich came up big, stopping 27 of 33 shots throughout the game. The New Ulm Steel took the lead late in the first on a goal from Jimmy Miller and never looked back.

Jimmy Miller chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Andrew Pitleck contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first, Pitleck opened the scoring for the Steel with a goal at 2:27 with helpers from his linemates, Reilly and Mehlhop. Maucieri answered for the North Stars with a goal at 7:51 with a helper from defenseman Flicek. Miller answered for New Ulm with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 15:31 with assists from his teammates Parks and Kjome. Coppock deposited a goal at 19:12 with helpers from Kjome and Miller.

During the second, Reilly netted a goal at 7:57 with assists from his linemates, Mehlhop and Pitleck. Woytcke quickly followed with a goal at 8:27 with helpers from Wieben and Storlie. Mordini scored a goal at 10:53 with assists from Storlie and Wieben.

This loss brings the Breezy Point North Stars’ record to (8-13-2-0).
