During the second, Bauman opened the scoring for Willmar with a goal at 1:35 with helpers from his linemates, Martin and Pries. Cooper deposited a goal at 17:47 with helpers from Bauman and Wendorf.
In the third period, Langworthy finally put the North Stars on the board with a goal at 9:46 with assists from his teammates Fladebo and Steffan. Petroske netted a goal at 14:34 with helpers from his linemates, Langworthy and Fladebo. Wieber quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 15:39 with assists from Steffan and Parisien. Fladebo scored a goal at 19:58 with helpers from his teammates Heckaman and Steffan.
Breezy Point’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Moore’s big night as he stopped 26 of the 28 shots he faced. On the other hand, Moore’s counterpart, Fry, and Willmar’s defense did not have such a great night allowing 3 goals in 21 shots.
