The North Stars struggled against the WarHawks 5-2 in home game

Lucas Ehrlich came up big, stopping 23 of 28 shots throughout the game. The Willmar WarHawks took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Max Oelkers.

Aj Hoyt chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Braden Shea had a busy night with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Max Oelkers did his part, adding 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

During the first period, Holt opened the scoring for Willmar with a goal at 1:02 with helpers from his linemates, Oelkers and Shea.

In the second, Cooper deposited a goal at 6:35 with helpers from his linemates, Bauman and Dixon. Oelkers put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 13:34 with assists from Erdmann and Wendorf.

During the third, Hoyt finally put the North Stars on the board with a goal at 7:28. Gilbert answered for the WarHawks with a goal at 11:35 with assists from his teammates Toll and Martin. Maucieri answered for Breezy Point with a goal at 14:29 with helpers from his linemates, Langworthy and Hoyt. Shea answered for Willmar with a goal at 18:55 with helpers from Oelkers and Wendorf.
