The North Stars defeat the Ice Hawks 4-3

The Breezy Point North Stars' offense had a big night, peppering the Rochester Ice Hawks with 37 shots throughout the game. The Breezy Point North Stars took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Alex Flicek.

Josh Maucieri did his part, adding 2 goals and Jakob Parisien chipped in with 2 assists. Noah Roach delivered for his team with 2 assists.

In the first period, Maucieri opened the scoring for the North Stars with a goal at 18:07 with helpers from his linemates, Langworthy and Fladebo.

During the second, Smits finally put Rochester on the board with a goal at 12:01 with helpers from his linemates, Hoffman and Roach.

In the third period, Renn netted a goal at 4:48. Maucieri quickly followed with a goal at 6:09 with an assist from his teammate Fladebo. Tubbs quickly followed with a goal at 6:42 with helpers from his linemates, Parisien and Kram. Rooney answered for Rochester with a goal at 11:09 with assists from Westphal and Roach. Flicek quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 12:57 with helpers from his teammates Wieber and Parisien.

Breezy Point’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Hershey as he stopped 24 of the 27 shots he faced. Hershey’s counterpart, Schenkenberg, also had a big night, managing to stop 33 of 37, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Breezy Point North Stars’ record to (1-2-0-0).
