Carmen Dalesandro was all over the ice for the North Iowa Bulls, as he tallied two goals in North Iowa\’s 4-1 win over the Breezy Point North Stars.
Dalesandro scored at 15:12 into the first period to make the score 2-0 North Iowa and again while on the power play 2:40 into the second to make the score 3-1 North Iowa.
The Bulls\’ Tommi Ahlgren was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 29 saves and let only one puck past him. The solid play of Ahlgren will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.62.
North Iowa\’s offense rang up 39 shots on Breezy Point\’s net.
North Iowa also had goals scored by Jon Severson and Brett Gravelle, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for North Iowa were Evan Mills, who had two and Johnny Panvica, Ryan Durant, Adam Orn, Austin Jackson, Dylan Zins, and Trey Gardner, who contributed one each.
The Bulls totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with one minor and one major and went 2-for-4 on the power play. Joe Licata made 35 saves for Breezy Point on 39 shots. The North Stars totaled 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-1 on the power play.
