Costello nets hat trick, leads Breezy Point to 6-3 win over Alexandria

The Alexandria Blizzard could not stop the Breezy Point North Stars\’ Joe Costello, who tallied a hat trick in a 6-3 win.

Costello notched his first tally 6:15 into the second period. He then added goals at 1:38 into the third and at 5:31 into the third.

Alexandria was unable to stop Breezy Point from sending pucks towards the net, and the North Stars eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. Breezy Point bested its season scoring average. The North Stars have scored at the pace of 2.7 goals per game during the current campaign. Breezy Point could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 22 minutes in penalties during the game.

Breezy Point additionally got points from Tyler Larwood, who also finished with one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Jordan Carey also scored for Breezy Point. In addition, Breezy Point received assists from Jack Anderholm, who had one and Nate Werhane and Ryan Mezera, who each chipped in two.
